Hello group, my name is Jonathan, and I am...

...not an alcoholic.  I am, however, a long term student and new father.  I have a fairly extensive military and political background (for being 28 years of age) and therefore felt most at home studying U.S. History.  I had intended to pursue grad school with the goal of someday teaching history at the collegiate level, but have recently changed course after realizing that being a professor is not all about fun, games, and coeds.  Regardless, I personally find the undergraduate degree in history to be one of the most useful and fulfilling areas of study, giving solid insight and understanding to the past and serving as a roadmap to life as an American.  For those pursuing grad school in business or the humanities, the history courses taught at ASU are especially rewarding.
    On that note, hello to all.  Looking forward to meeting all of you throughout the summer.
